Does anyone know where I can buy an interesting, effective and not too expensive coffee grinder?

I personally like manual ones and bought one from John Lewis the day before yesterday. It broke. I'll take it back today, and see if I can get a refund - the damn thing looked pretty boring anyway. And the electric ones seem so dull!

We had a cute one with windmills all over it. Haven't been able to find that since the move, so any ideas welcome!

I must say I like my electric one - a thing of beauty it is not though. The other drawback is the sudden jarring noise when you want a strong coffee the morning after!

Sorry, another vote for boring electronic ones. They do what they need to for very little effort.

For us, more effort = less chance of freshly ground coffee!

perhaps due to living in manhattan with no car access, I get pretty much all of my applicances from amazon. I got a Braun coffee grinder for about $20 which I love for grinding up spices. Dunno if the UK website has the same model, but they seem to have quite a few there.
