I like that. It feels like the start of a song. Silence - then a powerful, almost military drum, and then... glorious sound like an avalanche.
I think I have been overly affected by reading nekokaiju's post of 'In Flanders Fields' (which made me think of the album 'Join Hands'). I just keep seeing words spill into music lol.
I am as musical as a dead stoat. A great pity as Its musical ability that makes me creatively envious ;) It has so much power to affect people without their even noticing - I just wish my artwork could do the same to the same extent - become a catchy image that sticks in peoples minds as much and alters their mood.
So the best I can do is write it as I imagine it - boom boom -- boom boom -- boom boom -- rattle rattle boom boom - jangle sheesh baham...rattle jangle. Not so amazing now eh! ;) lol.
Actually I used to be able to read music a little as I was forced to learn violin by my dad for a while, but I hated it and gave it up fairly rapidly. For a little while in my teens I got it into my head that I could play synths, but actually I could only play the theme from Peter Gunn and (with difficulty) a little bit of the Genesis song 'Carpet crawlers' very very badly. I could programme/create sounds with them really well though. I sold my favourite synth (an OSCar) to a friend of my brothers who now plays it in a band called Airsculpture http://www.airsculpture.com/. I think its happy there. Its number 10 on their equipment list: http://www.airsculpture.com/gear/index.html
Maybe I had best stick to pictures and words... Will a picture come of it? Hard to say. I have a ton of half finished projects to complete, plus a book cover. Plus I want to spend some time working on some short stories and my rpg rules/system. But you never know.
