I do believe you, I absolutely believe you. I think we might even be circling round the same(ish) drain of agreement. I don't want to smell someone else's shit, I don't think I should have to, or anyone should have to. Nor do I think anyone should have to sit in their own shit, if they're not continent. I think there should be space made available for carers of incontinent people to change nappies.

This brings me back to my 'children are people' point. Yes, people usually have a choice whether or not to have a baby (and they absolutely should). No-one, however, has a choice whether or not to be a baby. And people shouldn't have to sit strapped to their own excrement, just because the world is better designed to deal with the continent than the incontinent. All people ought to be able to travel, all people ought to be able to access public spaces, all people deserve not to have to sit in their own shit, or smell other people's.
