Forked lightning! I haven't seen that in ages!

Thunder, hail and then just the most exquisite rainbow I recall seeing. It spanned the sky so perfectly I was as taken with its shape as its colours, and half expected a dove to fly down the street with a ton of ark grinding to a halt behind it. Very beautiful.

We had it a fornight ago. We switched the lights off and the kids and I sprawled on the chaise longue in our bedroom window and watched the forks sizzle down into a stormy black sea. Really exhilarating.
