The Perils of Dried Egg

This may take some time...or maybe it won't get finished. I am propping myself up on this chair like a ventriloquist's dummy, ready to slide to the floor at any moment.

Why am I doing it at all? Because it's this or sleep, and I have been sleeping for over 24 hours on and off. I have a serious thingTM that needs to be done, and I thought the deadline was tomorrow. Turns out I might have read it wrong. I will ask larians to check when he gets home, as numbers and figures seem beyond me. So, little journal, I write here to try and pull myself together, mentally if not physically.

I don't think it's working.

Dried egg was the culprit. My aunt Fatima does great things with this stuff, sweetened dried egg..she gave me some, along with instructions but maybe I got it wrong, like the deadline. Whatever happened, I created a mess which tasted good to me (larians eschewed it almost immediately) and within hours had me suffering from the most dramatic attack of food poisoning I can recall.

I presume it's food poisoning. Suffice it to say, it has had memorable effects at both ends of the body Boot for the last day and a half. I found myself regurgitating a positively ectoplasmic substance, slowly folding in on itself in sheets. Painful, draining, debilitating...I feel as though I am in some trance out of The Warlock. The cats shared my woe, one by throwing up and another by breaking a glass by the bed.

I have had strange dreams; big snakes eating dolphins brought by my brother. Time for more adventures in Nod right now.
