The Last Word

I suddenly remember a moment last night, when an old chum who still works at the studio told me that they would take me back in a shot. 'It's a much nicer company now,' she said,'The people who run it now are lovely.'

It's flattering and it makes me smile. The reason it suddenly returned to mind is that I'm watching Grosse Point Blank, a film I always enjoy. The plot is built around a contract killer, Martin Blank (John Cusack) who goes back to his high school reunion. The soundtrack is awesome 80s and the heroine, Debbie (Minnie Driver) has the last lines in the film:
Some people say forgive and forget. Nah, I don't know. I say forget about forgiving and just accept. And... get the hell out of town.
