Waterworks
Apr. 5th, 2016 03:03 pmWaiting for the plumber;big leak in the kitchen! A bit dismaying as I really wanted to get down to the local aquatic shop in order to follow some expert fishy advice; If the tank water is suffering from nitrate or ammonia overload, all the inhabitants get to fast for a week. It seems very harsh to me, but that's the recommendation. If the water's normal, time for live food rather than flakes and wafers so the inmates will get a treat of water fleas and bloodworms. If I want to help Rory2 to get rid of all that bloat, apparently feeding him a shelled pea may help. But I can't go get the test stuff because I am still waiting for this plumber, and I can't work out how to help the little guy til I've tested the water!
If he's got dropsy, they recommend killing him humanely.
I have no idea of how to do that, and am not considering it yet.
And I really don't want to think about this bloody leak. Come on plumbery types, I have fish to rescue!
