So off down to the Cittie of Yorke last night, to catch up with Elvis Diary and a few others. Elvis gave me a pot full of 'flowers of sulfur' to dust down poor pussycat Surya, who is scratching and noodling away at herself, with a result of almost bald back legs.
'Perfectly safe,' announced Elvis, sticking her finger in the yellow powder and popping it into her mouth, 'in case it's not just a nerve thing....she can ingest it, no problem. Gets rid of mites of all kinds, all sorts of infestations. Just dust her lightly with it. Good for mouth ulcers too. And if you run out of interesting things to do with it, remember you can always use it to call up the devil.'
The waiter eyeballed us and moved smoothly on to the next table.
This morning I have smoothed some of the brimstone powder on to poor puss, who was not impressed and ran upstairs. I have washed my hands several times and even so, they remain slightly sulfurous. I don't quite understand why Lucifer would be so keen if all it does is get rid of pests and leave eggy smells. Not that I intend to ask him. Reading the news, looks like he's busy.

Date: 2016-10-26 05:09 pm (UTC)She would eat (and then vomit up) anything she could find or steal. Broken glass, lumps of coal, cowpats, pieces of wood, bars of soap, whole chickens, exhumed dead hamsters, whole packets of paracetamol, anything.
