The Morning After The Night Before

smokingbootUp at the Big Red in Islington, watching a Kiss tribute band. There was alcohol and music, a bit like the night before but louder. The others are still asleep, the damage considerable; the Big Red doesn't close til 4 in the morning.
We're supposed to be doing a roast dinner but I suspect neither the cook nor the guest will be up for it. I'm the Night Watchman, saved only by not changing over from beer to whisky, and having a couple of halfs instead of pints part way through. The band was OK but not my cocoa, whatever. Friend was mentioning this http://monstersofrockcruise.com/ Something like 44 gigs in 5 days sounds amazing, but if I'm in Miami or Haiti I want to go exploring; besides I don't think this thing would leave any change out of 5 grand per person. There's a lot of world I can see for that money.
Nope, not a sound from upstairs. We're supposed to be off to Greenwich Market today to shop for birthday presents and cannoli, but it's all looking a bit unlikely.
