A Goose Just Walked over My Grave

Courtesy of superstition straight out of the old country...

Picked up the laundry basket to take out to dry, straightening up to see a white gravestone in the garden.

Of course, it is no such thing, just the light shining through the front door reflecting off the kitchen windows in some odd way. I just never saw it before, so I took a photo of it, because nothing disenchants more quickly or thoroughly.

Very eerie. It totally looks like a gravestone, right down to the 3-D shading on the upper right.

Well yes, the effect was quite startling when I first noticed it. Having said that, as one friend has pointed out, it's quite bright and sunshiny for a harbinger. Another friend sees it as a door to new opportunities... I'll take both meanings!
