And now

Easter has gone and with it, the cats waking me pre-dawn, the extraordinary sunrises. What an intense time! I am tired, probably too tired to travel well, but that will be OK, it always is. Yesterday I turned up for physio, my therapist looking blankly from me to the screen. I had arrived on the wrong day. The woman whose appointment I accidently snaffled was sitting outside looking confused. Some would call it a senior moment except I've been like this all my life.

Today, today is the right day. I have so much else to do that it would be great to cancel, but it is my last session and soon I will be wandering a hot city or, possibly some almost as hot mountains, so maybe it's a good idea to take the ankle seriously.

We saw Dungeons and Dragons;Honour Among Thieves last night. Lots about it made us laugh, and I love seeing old D&D beasties made real; Owlbears and Displacer Beasts and Mimics, excellent! But best of all was Hugh Grant, who is all very well as a hero or duffer, and yes, he can seriously act, but is simply peerless as a comedy villain. Then we came home and played D&D with our mates when we could have been packing. And yes, this might be why I will be running around frantically today. Well worth it.

Do you remember that really cheap US live action D&D TV series in the 80s? Or am I the only one? 🤔

I found it! It was called Wizards & Warriors, not D&D. I knew I hadn't dreamt it.
