Mo' bougainvilleas

smokingbootIt's not as glorious as the place in Jaen we all christened 'The Drug Dealers House,'which I always regretted not buying, cos it was huge and covered in bougainvilleas.It doesn't take much to persuade me.
And yes, tiles. Tiles tiles tiles. Tiles are important in the houses of Southern Spain given how much time one spends fighting off the sun, the house has got to be cool. What a position! Alhambra right there, Albaicin waiting below. Also, caves, and the teeny ancient road underneath! Spaniards and Romans and Moors, oh my! Er, yes, they need to get rid of the junk down there, in fact the whole place could do with a going over, but once done, when the patio's full of citrus trees and pomegranates, wisterias and yes, bougainvilleas, and the cave and underground road are cleared, it could be heavenly. Fountain needed. Ghosts bound to haunt. Worst of all, once sorted, it out would never quite be enough, one would just want to keep excavating. I'd eventually end with a tunnel under some neighbours house, chipping furtively at the cellar walls.
