Here it comes

It found me yesterday in beaming sunshine and the smell of cut grass. It was the kind of day jeans stick to you, the kind of day old cats come and sit in your shadow, the kind of day you notice that maybe you should have pruned the roses long ago, the kind of day seagulls are walking up and down your street checking each other out. Strange things happened and there were difficulties here and there, but they drifted away. Because this is Summer, queen of the year!

Thank you! It would have been grand to have you with me, though I'm not sure lying on the grass is your thing. Other seasons have their beauty, but Summer is the best time for me to just be. I've thought about getting a tattoo so often, but I can't think of a single symbol that always works for me except text, perhaps the words aestas aeterna ...
