Hairy stars
Dec. 24th, 2004 12:19 pmI went to the garden centre this morning. It has a shamanic santa, dressed in rough looking furs, skis under his arm. If he was riding on a fly agaric mushroom, I'd have bought him. I was very impressed by his furriness until I noticed the other decorations; they're also selling more modern santas with fake leopard fur cuffs and trim...and this year's Christmas-tree stars are hairy, really hairy, with strange palomino faux fur that made me thing of exploded-outward blonde tarantulas. I was going to bring one home but I was afraid to touch it.
Crossing the playing field, Hugin and Munin came cawing by. Could have sworn they were sending good wishes, as I do now.
Happy Christmas/Post-Yule/whatever you like. Lots of love to those who want it. May you have a wonderful holiday.
