R just tested positive for Covid, so no flight to Malta for us today. There aren't regulations in place, but it feels like the wrong thing to do, and anyway, he wouldn't enjoy travel in this state. Irony is, the holiday was the reason we could not attend my friends funeral soon, now we won't be on holiday but still can't attend.

I took a test and am not positive. I don't feel great,but that could be down to a few things. Will test again in 5 days to see. His line is very faint, but his symptoms got much worse very quickly yesterday.

Looking at his face, I realise how much he was looking forward to sun and warmth, now his booked vacation is going to be spent on sick leave. On the other hand, if what his body really needs is sleep and nothing happening, then that's what has to happen. We will just try to indulge in Hygge rather than Holiday.

I am a bit disappointed but OK with it really. I woke to see a deep frost across the park, and a really beautiful dawn, yellow pink clouds, rising in bands into that clear blue. Red sky at morning sailor take warning, reckon it will be very cold today. The issue now is that we have not got food in for the rest of the week, and neither he nor I can really go out in this; I'm guaranteed to slip and he's pretty groggy.

But it's OK, everything can wait.
