This morning the test confirmed what I knew yesterday.
Quick too, no hanging around for quarter of an hour. Big and bold, the T line declared itself with a mighty 'Tis I!' less than a minute after the test fluid was applied.
Up at 3.30 am because of severe breathlessness and pain above stomach/below lungs. Extremely unpleasant state.
I must sleep, but it gets very difficult if I lie down.
2023, you're not behaving yourself are you?

Date: 2023-11-30 11:56 am (UTC)I remember in the early days of covid they had people lie on their stomachs when resting to help make it easier to breathe. I hope you're not in bad enough shape breathlessness-wise to need that, but even in better shape, it may provide some relief?
In addition to over-the-counter meds, I was thinking about things like paxlovid, a medicine designed to dampen the effects of covid. My father (whose vulnerability is that he's 92) took it, and he did start feeling better sooner than he might otherwise. (Of course those things are also kind of like tiger powder--one never knows what would have happened without the med.) But in this country at least, that's a common medicine to give people who get covid and who also have some other vulnerability.
(NHS on paxlovid--I should think you'd be in the highest-risk group!)

Hope you can get some rest soon.
