Dream of a Tattoo

smokingbootI dreamed I was having a tattoo on the back of my neck or down between my shoulder blades. The guy doing it said it could be anything, even something as simple as a shape or number or letter, but somehow - I don't know who decided it - it was going to be a bird.
I heard him messing around at the back of my neck and waited for pain, but there wasn't any, only a pressure. I thought I felt a *splot* moment and a muttered imprecation from the man, and wondered if he had made a mistake. He finished but I never saw the bird tattoo, don't know what kind it was, or even if it was. For all I knew, he could have written THIS WAY UP or RETURN TO SENDER.
