Hello Terrorvision. It's been a long time.
Hello Withnail and I. It's been too long.
Goodbye Friday night. We couldn't go out, we were just ruinously exhausted.
Hello Saturday night, and delishfish lasagne courtesy of larians, plus the excellent company of november_girl, ephraim, evilwillow and cyanidemigraine. The music at Jilly's was consistently bopaboutable-to, and apart from one drunk singing to me that he was a creep, he was a weirdo and he didn't belong here (all conclusions with which I vigorously concurred) the night was idiot free.

And the night flowed happily into late talk morning, and the next day turned into sleep/get over terrible hangover/sit around/watch dvds/eat fun size organic bananas day.

None of this can express my contentment. Much as I love words, some things can't be translated, so just for once I will have to trust my memory, and enjoy how good this feels.

P.S. Oh yes, note to self; red or purple hair suits me a lot better than blonde. I am trying to resist my mother's comforting advice to put ringlets in my hair before I get too old for them (her words, not mine). Thanks, mum!
