Lurgification

These never take a run-up with me, no. Whenever a virus/flu/whatever gets me in its sights, it does nothing, does nothing, does nothing, there's a cough, there's another cough, there's a day bedridden. Now I'm up, fed the cats, loaded the dishwasher, put out some of the bins, made myself a coffee which tastes disgusting. I've had this weird taste in my mouth since this morning. Covid test is negative which is something, but I am beginning to feel dizzy and may well go back to bed. Yeesh.
Trying not to remember Mum saying that maybe there's something wrong with here, maybe it's what she calls a sick place. Of course it's nonsense, and very much Mum's hobby horse, but maybe we need to live somewhere more dry. I prefer Scotland to England. People are people everywhere I know, and London's a total hoot, but there's generally a kinder vibe here. But we are sick so often! The respiratory issues just never seem to stop.
Whether or not they stop, I must. Here it comes again, a psychedelic world fuelled by Ibuprofen and very dubious coffee. Time to close my eyes.

Re Scotland, I am not sure anywhere is dry as such, though the East Coast is definitely more dry than the west.
