I'm glad Mantel didn't go with the (quite possibly apocryphal) story of how Norfolk's men got the axman drunk the night before the execution so it took the executioner several botched attempts before he finally beheaded Cromwell.

Next time you visit NTC, let's pay our respects to Cromwell together. He's at the J.P. Morgan museum.
