Valerian Dreams

Strange dream. Woke in nasty old foe's house. I was in a dressing gown. Realised I had to go to work, so found myself a bathroom with a mirror inexplicably covered in a black towel. Took the towel off, there was nothing wrong with the mirror, so I washed, put make up on, got dressed, went to some place with a pool. One part was in shade. A few men were swimming in that part.

Valerian tea seems to bring me more NREM 2 type sleep activity. My sleep is longer and I feel more refreshed on wakingm but the dreams are less intense with more recognisable flotsam from the past couple of days, conscious life creeping in, for example the pool with the men fits in with a TV show I watched yesterday. Some kind of intense energy, almost a charge, is missing. I can see why people might drink this tea to soften nightmares, but not why they would take it to induce lucid dreaming.

Interesting! In the Jewish tradition, when you sit shiva, you cover all the mirrors in the house. You might want to investigate whether nasty old foe has exited this mortal realm. 😀
