This sounds really amazing:
http://www5.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/participate.html
I am trying not to be too enthusiastic before finding out more about it. If all my cheek swab could tell me was that my maternal haplopool was of a kind found in the Iberian peninsula for the last several thousand years, it's hardly worth the money. But it sounds more interesting than that; I'm waiting to get a bit more info out of National Geographic.
A very pleasant night, spent first with
ellistar and
scary_lady and then with
larians and
bad_moon_rising. Contemplation and a little bit of tuning in, fascinating conversations, and beer. Who could ask for anything more?
I had a strange dream last night. I will put that in a private posting I think.
Addendum: No I won't as I appear to have deleted the whole thing! Blast!
Instead, for those who have read about the iniquities of Tesco and feel impelled to do something, here's a place where you can find farmer's markets near you.
