but there are major issues; I really don't think we could afford Basle, or rather, we would better off living somewhere cheaper and commutable.
And then we have to think of what I would do; if larians earns enough I could work full time on my writing, but that feels a little strange; for a good few years now I've paid my way in all things, each month, each week. I am used to that sense of independence and equality in partnership. The isolation might be a problem, but it seems there are classes in French/German/Swiss that might be open to me via his work. And then I have to think about continuing counselling courses..
I have been to Basle I think, yet I can remember much about it. Wow thinking of moving that far, the one thing to remember is in todays age the UK in is only a short cheap flight away and you could be back for the weekend in the time it would take you drive down to Norwich.
That is very true, and it's one of the things that keeps us from being daunted. Friends are just too important to leave behind, but in terms of convenience, a cheap flight easily beats excruciating hours on the motorway, or at the mercy of what laughingly passes for a British rail system...
