Caustic, insensitive, by no means a saint, you still said the big thing; Give Peace A Chance.
Sometimes I revile politicians for not doing that, all the time forgetting it myself; and sometimes I give peace a chance and it fails. I should keep trying, but right now I'm weary, so bear with me. I'm no saint either.
Didn't realise how much the ideals you sang about influenced me - even if George was my favourite;-)
25 years on I remember.
