Mark This Day Well
Nov. 22nd, 2003 12:45 amFor on this day, Smokingboot behaved like a grown-up, showing gentle maturity, wisdom and restraint in a way no-one but she will ever understand.
Then she spent the night with friends acting like a complete fool!
What a great night! We didn’t play Vampire because the ref hates me and likes to see me beg. Instead we all played a teeny D&D adventurette, and once again proved that we’re, well, a little bit class, as well as totally off it. I was just crying with laughter throughout, and I feel so good I can’t sleep.
A good day, though wishes and regrets go out to those lost in the bombings. Why, when life can be so much fun, do people need to hurt each other? In a deep mood I could find answers to that. But right now, all I can feel is grateful to be surrounded by glorious gifted nutters. What’s life without them?
Here’s to a future when we will all be loved, safe, happy and relaxed, with the right people, in the right place, when all times are the right time. Night night, LJ.
