England, England...
Nov. 23rd, 2003 11:07 pmYou rock the world!
Admittedly, you nearly destroyed it first, by putting two nations through 100 wildly veering minutes of delight and despair. If I've managed to avoid total bi-polar meltdown, it's no thanks to you.
I was not looking forward to this weekend. We had to cry off two parties due to work/money commitments, and that's no fun. However on friday night, Mad About Sport turned up and brought the party with him. We got severely wrecked,a circumstance which didn't stop us getting up this morning to watch the rugby world cup final. Since then, we have done great household type things and then crashed out, feeling like champions.
I have no real understanding of the game. It's the drama I love, that and the sheer honesty of all that violence, blood, mud and muscle. But I'm never getting this involved in following a team again: Repeating this four years from now would finish me off.
