This morning is beautiful; a vibrant day, all greens and light blues, yellow light and long shadows, very Maxfield Parrish. I know many people who hate his sweet American Dream stuff, *shrug* got to sell what you can sell, it doesn't bother me, especially if it allows for exquisite pictures like 'Daybreak.' Daybreak was one of my favourite paintings when I was a kid, the nearest thing I could imagine to Heaven. I have seen so many different tinted reproductions, I have no clue as to the original colours.

There are 4 versions here, top row; second from left, row below it; far left, far right, fourth row down; far right.

Why do I think of this now? I have been up since 6, my mother has disappeared again, and though I have done a tiny minimal point of constructive work that pleases me, I don't feel so hot.

Time to leave the screen and go out.

OK, so I never made it out into the bright day. I fell asleep instead. But my whole morning has been saved by this link. Thanks [profile] november_girl!

P.S. For any gentlemen of my acquaintance out there, however beautiful you are; If I ever catch you posing like this, I will mock you for all eternity. You will have to kill me to put me out of your misery.
