Shadow of the Vampuss
Oct. 2nd, 2005 10:27 pmA sweet weekend, thanks to great hospitality, excellent company, and the knowledge that there are stalwart friends out there ready to help if ever I need it. I am not quite myself, for reasons I don't have time or inclination to explain, but at least I'm not on the verge of shattering like Bacon's skull of brass. I have a lot to be thankful for.
But now, but now, comes October. Winter and darkness draw near, and the Deepest Evil, clawed and malevolent, prepares to cross the threshold, if we invite it in, or dare to enter its house freely and of our own will. For the time of nightmares has come, and we walk in the Shadow of the Vampuss:

This book is going on my Christmas list. I have to have it.
