Never forever

I never even liked this song, despite my theoretic knowledge of Kate Bush as a musical genius/dafty/weather balloon. I much preferred stuff like Hounds of Love, Waking the Witch, Cloudbusting, In the Raw, Army Dreamers, The Sensual World. I loved her world of half dreams and demi-ghosts, and have deliberately avoided her latest album, Aerial, cos I don't care if she's grown. I have, and that is separation enough.

So why of all things am I hearing ( The Man with the Child in his Eyes )

I didn't like this song nigh on 20 years ago, and I don't now. But it is hammering around my head like my temperature's 103.
