cat_that_walks gave me T for Ten, So I'll start with the song that squintywitch associated with Ten Good Reasons, my (ex) Maelstrom character, very well known to the cat.

1. This Corrosion - Sisters of Mercy. Don't ask me why this felt so right for TGR, it just did.
2. There There - Radiohead. Brilliant song, and the video haunts me yet, the perfect depiction of an unseelie world.
3. Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins; but I can't work out whether I'm just in love with the video (though I lose interest when they leave the moon) the lyrics really work for me.
4.The Man who Sold the World - Nirvana . Just is.
5. The Sensual World - Kate Bush. For it is written that whensoever an lj-er shall make a music meme, Kate Bush shall be named. But this one's different. This song's got a beautiful melody and lyrics but the video makes me cringe. Better if I hear it rather than see it.
6. Temptasyon - Medieval Babes. Not my favourite of theirs but still delicate and otherworldly.
7. Take me down - Guns n Roses. Because this lists needs cheeserock to stop total disintegration, and though this song never makes me dance, it always makes me smile.
