And then there was today

I had a great night; too many faces I hadn't seen for too long, grins much warmer than the weather, and the astonishing realisation that despite the years we're doing all right, all of us once-upon-a-timers.
Sunday belonged to Ben and Jerry's and Benedict Cumberpatch proving once again that charisma is not always sexual. 'Into Darkness' was fun despite plot holes big enough to fly the Enterprise through.
And today? Back to the organisation who have been all about getting my charity idea going. A room full of feisty women from Africa, demonstrating take-no-prisoner chili sauces. They stared at my legs. They loved my idea, and I learned something about trade: Everybody wants a freebie. I brought seeds to exemplify the principles behind my idea. Everyone took them, they went faster than the food.
As to the organisation, well, I have given them the stuff, now I need to see results;they said they'd get me the premises, possibly the grant and training if needed. If they turn out to be blow-hards, I'll contact the NHS myself; I don't need to run this idea, but someone should, and if some trust would take it off my hands, I could go back to being the writer I really am.
We shall see.
