All quiet on the intestinal front
Oct. 20th, 2013 09:59 amWell, I'm still not hungry...though there's a certain lightheadedness I can't shake off. Back to bed soon I suspect. Shame really because after this morning's rain, it's a beautiful day.
Also, truth is I have a lot on this week, so really can't continue not eating. Food may not be appealing but I need fuel to get things done. I will leave this until as late as possible in case the whole thing flares up again.
In a way I would like to just leave this until I get a genuine proper 'Feed Me' signal from my body. At the moment it seems to be on shutdown. I can take more water/orange squash than before without feeling sick, but there's still a need to be careful. I'm looking forward at some point to
romney's recommended elderflower cordial mixed in water (should have asked what it does really -
romney, if you're out there, can you tell me?) but while
larians is talking about baked beans, baked potatoes and goujons for tonight, I honestly don't think I can handle it.
it surprises me that I am not hungry. My family would consider 3 days without food to be dramatic; they would stuff me in a chair and pump me full of chocolate and churros before going on to the main meal. How strange, it never occurred to me to question the need to eat three times a day. At some point, when it is a matter of choice, I wouldn't mind an attempt at fasting just to clear my body up. One good thing to come from this is the breaking point for coffee. I have decided to keep it down to one a day at breakfast, plus one if I am meeting friends. If only I liked fruit teas more! They have such glorious sounding combinations and all taste like bubble gum!
