Song in the crash
Jan. 7th, 2014 12:33 amSo about that road we were on.
Well, I forgot.
Not quite forgot. I took my hands off the wheel.
It was very silent.
And I didn’t want to talk to you or anybody.
But if you wanted to find the sun in the winter wood
Or lambs shuddering under the snow
that would be a music for us.
We could write letters to each other
point at fish in the river.
Break ice for the ducks.
We still have a map, for all it’s worth.
But whatever we do, that car is totalled.
