A better day

Though not entirely. I heard about that poor poisoned dog at Crufts. Seriously, the person who did such a thing would not be safe in my presence. I feel for him, and hope he's running around in some immortal summerland place doing happy doggy things.

I won't write of it anymore, it darkens everything.

Apart from that, it was a good day.
Good storyboarding, good workshop organisation, seeing bro and seeing friend, and comimg home to find larians in fine fettle over potential changes...and then a night watching Aliens. I saw Alien again recently, and remembered just how perfect a horror movie it was. Aliens suffered a little from familiarity, but was still well put together. Then we turned over and tried to watch Aliens 3. God I remember hating this film - cockneys at the edge of space - but Charles Dance being a green eyed heart-throb was a forgotten phenomenon. I saw him once on stage as Coriolanus, an uncertain performance in an uncertain production. But then it's not an easy play. Now he is forever the terrifying grandaddy Lannister, and Westernos will be poorer for his absence.

We tried to watch the film but it's still not very good. The house smelled of whisky and those cigars I bought for larians birthday. I went to bed and slept in some almost Z shape due to cat invasion.

Today is a bright day, though I find there's little time to do necessary things. There's a lot of work ahead.
