The mist rolls in
Nov. 2nd, 2015 07:44 amAutumn has landed. I do love November.
The weekend hasn't quite gone as expected, with
larians being poorly, but yesterday I made my way down to Greenwich and finally disposed of Mark's 'souvenir ashes' in the Thames near the Cutty Sark. Saw some vintage wedding dresses, ran away.
Vintage cars smell much nicer. They were peppered up and down Regents Street this weekend for some kind of motorshow, looking adorable along with other famous automobile characters - I'd have had more luck getting close to Johnny Depp than reaching the Aston Martin, so I ducked into Tokyo Diner, a place I've been visiting for decades. The chief waiter came over to my table to tell me that he's going back to Japan, and to thank me for years of, I don't know, turning up I suppose. It was very kind of him. I shall miss his courtesy.
My senses are in a bit of a riot right now. There's a kind of background ringing in my ears, and also, more pleasantly, a strong fragrance, like a very distinctive perfume. No idea why all this is happening, but it's an interesting phenomenon.
