Mojitos

I could talk of serious things today. I could talk about observation of the news and my dismayed conclusion that many aren't actually anti-violence provided the violence is perpetrated against someone they dislike. People are fine with oppression as long as the oppressor agrees with them. They have no problem with enforced silence as long as their views are not the victims of it.

And do you know, I am almost ready to raise the drawbridge and leave them to it. Often you can't stop people being a8ses to each other, they have to experience being on the wrong end of a8seholedom to understand why it's not a great personal or societal choice. When it comes to preventing outright evident injustice or wrongdoing/inappropriateness, I may be able to contribute some small effort against it sometimes. That's probably why I got involved with the LPP. Now I have an opportunity to learn more about planning appeals etc, it would make me better at this kind of thing. It's more information. I should do it. Why then do I find it so difficult to just click on the link and register?

This morning, rather than do anything sensible, I am making two sets of syrup for this evening's cocktail shebang with a couple of mates online. In an attempt to avoid multi opened bottles of arcane liquors never to be touched again, tonight is dedicated to mojitos. The four of us are going to attempt champagne mojitos, limoncello mojitos, chocolate mojitos and classic mojitos. My instinct warns me that we may get trapped by champagne mojitos, but we are all people of courage ready to face this danger.
