Started the work. Can do the work, no problem.
But I cannot do much more than the work as it stands. And there is a lot of it. My friend with the amazing ethic sees how we should do this, the more powerful constructive approach to the whole thing. But that might take more time, we have a hard deadline and I...
To my shame, I must confess that right now I can manage this as a series of small sprints, but don't have the power for a marathon. Annoying but they warned me to expect 6-8 weeks of it.
One of the things I experienced after the diagnosis was this sense of diminishing returns. Came a time when anything important had to be done between 7 am and noon, because I was barely able to think or take action by 2pm. Came a later time when nothing could be done at all. I am reviving, I feel it, but am still not up to the concentrated effort this needs to be done to her standards.
And hers are great standards. They're not draconian or unreasonable, they're wise and lucid. I'm sorry for my lack.
Plus there's another project, I like to think this one will be small, but it is all effort. I meet people to discuss it today.
I must go into town now, my first walk through the little nature reserve in ages. Here we go.
