Exertion

Only when you've really overdone it do you suddenly feel your body wracked with the effort of breathing. Instructors in Tai Chi and Yoga have often told me to pay more attention to breath; I am doing it now, exhausted and gasping, feeling this shudder and shadow; gulping air in and feeling it swallow deep down below the diaphram, down past my navel and further, a kind of echoing gasp that sounds like a leak in pipe, like someone else breathing, rasping behind me, only it's definitely no-one else. The effort is involuntary and unavoidable. Thank god no-one can hear me.

Of course, it is over now, or I could not write this. My body is completely overturned. I suppose some might call this orgasm...the room is still spinning, my body is still treacherous.

There are some things sick people shouldn't even try.

Yeah, tell me about it. I have blocked sinuses all the time...by the time I am supposed to take one breathe in - I have shallow-breathed in and out 5 times...and then I am confused.

I think they are trying to kill us.

Bloody hell, that doesn't sound good. Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy.

Thanks for your concern, you are very kind:-) Regarding taking it easy, it's a case of having to, thanks to my darling man's trip to a plague pit with souvenir take-home lurgy!

When their mates are hideously ill, why do they insist on meeting up anyway?
