So - I googled the area - and found this wonderful quotation...

"Getting to Cappadocia is not difficult. If you're in Ankara then it's a 4 hour bus or car trip to Nevsehir and then a half hour more to the base of your choice".

Not quite just a quick hop on a budget airline then.

I'll be there - and then to recover (and as I've got a day off on Tuesday) I'm treating myself to a nice night in a hotel in Shropshire, and a day taking photographs in the hills there.

Daft thing in a way - the excuse for it is an Ars Magica game I'm playing i that's set there - the hotel looks as if it may be a more modern (only 200 y.o.) building on a site we've visited in-game.

It doesn't sound that daft to me (that should probably be a warning to you;-)) I've always wanted to play Masks of Nyarlathotep for no better reason than my familiarity with the Red Lion at Avebury!

Yes it is...and a little easier to reach than Cappadocia!

Do you remember talking about Turkey? Sometime when world and cash are on our side, maybe we should revisit the conversation...

In the meantime, there are many murmurings here about coming up to Scotland again. Can't be soon enough for me.
