So the major anxiety dreams have stopped, to be replaced by weird creepy paranoid dreams. Last night, I dreamt that there were enemies/daleks in the world. This is very unfair as I seem to be the only person who thinks Christopher Ecclestone's Dr Who kicked teeny bright-eyes Tennant's attempt into a chirpy little hat with a feather in it. The guy's a gerbil; trust me, I know my gerbils.

So yes, in my dream two of us got out of a car and left 'sensitive information' in it, and I saw a dalek looking inthrough the window; my companion (male, not at all like Jack Harkness but thankfully smarter) led me away down a beautiful tiny italian street, with closely overhanging trees and a canal. I didn't know if I was in Venice or Florence, but it was secret and more, it led back down through time in its own way; We stopped at a library that was terribly English 1930's/40s; a woman with a neat bob asked me "Do we have any re-inforcements at Pino/Pisa?' I stared at her. Somehow I knew we didn't and we needed them.

Then I was in a grassy old wooden palisade with the remains of a stone fort or beacon at its centre. A bird came, a starling with a message tethered to its already bandaged leg. Birds have been featuring in my thought a lot recently. I was surprised someone had sent such an unsuitable bird, but grabbed it anyway (and here's what was weird, I could really feel, just as I feel these keys when I tap them, the movement, the feathers under my fingers, the bird's struggle to get out)_took the message but didn't read it. The bird jammed its beak across the skin beneath my left thumb and bit like a little demon, leaving a strange itchy red scratch. There were no medical supplies there, so I asked the 'servants' so to speak if they had any rosemary and thyme; But I could not recall which of the common herbs was slightly antiseptic; in real life, thyme and sage are both very good for you, but rosemary? Not that it mattered; they couldn't recognise either and knew nothing about collecting herbs.

Saw myself in a mirror; in my adventures, half my hair appeared to have been sawn off; when I shook it out, I had a long mullet, with snowy white patches all over it; I was looking at a woman with very pure features. Then I shook my hair out again and it all grew back just as it is, and I was just as I am.

Weird dreams may be to do with my period having just started (without turning me into a psychopath, which is nice) or worries about my mother; her hair is white, she's very good with herbs and she's obsessed with hygiene and health, she's ill and she eats like a bird. And I haven't been able to contact her these past two mornings, which makes me fear she's disappeared again. But I am not going to fret.

Instead I am going to visit the bank and search for ingredients for chai.

[edited to add] Not at the bank you understand; afterwards. My grammar is seldom as random as my shopping...

Heh. Yes, he's a gerbil. I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone in thinking that.

And Billie Piper, for all she's a good looking girl, definitely has hamster cheeks.

I'm convinced that all they do is follow trails of sunflower seeds across the universe...

Rosemary, that's for rememberance?

Greetings from Catherine (from the Nest and Maelstrom) in any case.

Hi Catherine

[profile] larians told me who [personal profile] happybat is!

And yes, I had totally forgotten, rosemary is for remembrance - a bit worrying as forgetting stuff is one of the things I'm best at:-)
