Wow. A fantastic night of Suckhead. I had the most astonishing time! And tonight we welcome in the new year with the stabface crew. I just have this feeling that 2004 is going to be a great year. But perhaps I shouldn't say that... beware hubris etc. All I will do is wish good luck and good health to all who read this. Happy New Year.

Goodbye 2003. You've been a grind from time to time, but you've brought rewards too. I don't have much time for memes, but I'll do this one, and keep it for reference in 2004.

1.What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Started to create a home.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Can’t remember last year’s resolutions. I have a few for this year including more exercise, less fud and nackerhol, more sleep and salad, better time management, and a balance between work, rest and play. Most of all, I really want to write something for its own sake, rather than for money. I want the money too, of course!

3.Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Spain. Wales. If there was anywhere else, it can’t have impressed me cos I’ve forgotten it.

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Time
Money
More time
Sleep

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory?
July 11th

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Got a book published. OK, it’s just an RPG scenario, but it got v. cool reviews and it’s my first solo success, so big hugs for little old me!

9. What was your biggest failure?
No real failures, but sometimes sustainment on a very petty level considering the amount of effort involved. Too much work and hassle for very little reward on certain occasions.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
One major but groundless scare and some fluey viruses exacerbated by exhaustion. Evil dental doings.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Cream sofas/lemon tree/olive tree/new puter. Love them all, can’t choose between them!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My partner, of course, for all his love and his tireless efforts for us. Those fantastic friends around me who have made my life sparkle with laughter and loyalty, kindness and creativity. I won’t embarrass anybody by naming names. You know who you are!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No-one springs to mind.

14. Where did most of your money go?
What money?

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Book, birthday, holidays, friends, nights out, nights in…not much that didn’t excite me in some way or other!

I was 41 and my love had arranged a secret birthday bash, for which many chums emerged including several who came up all the way from London. The surprise was perfect, the day was hot, the paddling pool was great, and I was surrounded by loads of people I’m crazy about. The party was spectacular and my heart resided on planet lurve for a month afterwards. I don’t remember enjoying a birthday more!

Less work/money related crap.

How embarrassing. I'm afraid it's A Horse with No Name by America (the whole song rather than one part of it)
