Pretty little Pye is alone now. His lifelong companion, Number 1 Son, also known as Houdini, after a lifetime of escapology and adventure, died of old age in his sleep tonight.

Working for weeks on end so far away means I can't really afford to renew the cycle with Pye, of finding him a baby companion: I'm not here to look after them and though [profile] larians has covered for me, it's unfair to ask an asthmatic to keep house for two wee dust churners.

Anyone out there able to adopt a beautiful ginger and white young gerbil? He's healthy and friendly and comes with a fab cage! Perfection would be someone who would get him a little pup companion. If you know anybody who cares about rodenty friends and would be willing to help, give me a shout below.

Thanks for any help.

I am a little sad tonight.

Are you watching the rugby Saturday afternoon?

I have to be in the City Centre so probably not, with regrets.

Here is our current plan: We hope to be at the tower around 1 pm on Saturday, watching rugby either in a local pub or, if it does not inconvenience either of you, in the house. Then it's town and party time (presume you are coming to Liz' party?) and then back to the gentle ambience of the club.

If that is inconvenient we of course will be happy to change things. Let us know.

Looking forward to seeing you soon:-)

That sounds absolutely fine and dandy. Mi casa es su casa and all that sort of stuff. It is entirely probable that the Tower will be deserted but, if you have your key, that should not be a problem. I will certainly be heading on to Liz's party at some point, the only question which I have not quite sorted out in my mind is whether I will be returning home to change first.

Thank you, you are very kind. I feel some sadness, but it's passing .That little guy had a very happy existance, I'm glad to have given him that.

See you saturday night I hope:-)
