Shredded bird, blood and feathers all over the corridor. He is asleep curled up on a spare duvet. She is asleep on the bed. Or so they pretend. I see their eyes glint, watching me as I pace between them.

Someone in this house is a killer...

Ah, here we see the proof that catflaps/open windows are a mistake. We never had this trouble with Gray`s moggy Snowie. He had to ask for doors to be opened.

We do shut the window behind them at night, or when it's cold. Couple of nights ago, he was at the window with a mouthful of mouse. We developed convenient obtuseness at that point and ignored him. Great was the sulk when much later and mouseless, he was allowed into the house. He stared at us with consummate contempt, turned his back and went to sleep.

My meek and gentle little Maevie is the mouser in this house! I found this out on my birthday when she brought me a small furry birthday present. Sweeeet!

Macha looks big and fierce, but she's just a big old softy.
