And then
If you can read this, you are probably too clever to enjoy the following...
You are cordially invited to
The Darker Edge of Faery by Debbie Gallagher
A lecture on fairy folklore hosted by The Secret Chiefs
Wednesday, November 14, 2007
8:30pm - 10:30pm
Devereux Public House
Devereux Court off Essex Street WC2, nearest tube Temple
London, United Kingdom
Q&A
What the hell is this?
It's a 45 minute lecture in a pub with pagans, open to all, £2 entry.
Isn't this just a pimp up for your newly published novel about fairies?
Yup. But a lot of research went into it - I've been examining fairy traditions for years, and the lecture may be focusing on that. If I can bring myself to focus on anything.
Luvyadeb, but live too far away/couldn't care less about your invisible friends. Will ya feel mortified if I cry off?
Don't worry, you can show me your devotion in other ways, champagne and fancy jewels will do. OR, more cheaply, you can pass the word on to any of your friends who are into magic/folklore/random pagany stuff.
I am terrified of people actually turning up to this, but I really need to practice putting stuff out there. I would love to see you, if you can't come that's fine. Don't expect anything too erudite, OK.
Yours always in love and fear

1.Please tag your posts with the name of the system you're writing about, and the characters in the stories.
2.Please paste up Find Out In Play warnings,(eg "this is background, but FOIP regarding my character's mindset re: natives", or "don't read this if you don't want to know about my character's faith")
3.Please don't post anything so FOIP it would actually break the system/our heads,

We encourage constructive comments, whether it's a 'that made me laugh! yay!' or a 'that opening paragraph was especially well written, the rhythm blew me away'.
Again, welcome, and I hope you have fun.
I look forward to reading your fic!
