Last night was wonderful, shared with friends and champagne enhanced. Today, we came home to find that our spring bulbs are sprouting in the rain, a shrivelled orchid has flowered, and the olive tree formerly known as Dead Steve is putting out buds.

Yesterday was Arctic Monkeys Day, today I woke up to the theme from 'Return of the Mummy,' going round my head. I have decided to take this as an omen that 2014 will be a year of adventures. No idea how to begin but it feels good.
