Strike a pose there's nothing to it

I have a new wannabe friend on FB. Never met the guy, don't have any friends in common, and I can barely see his face from his profile because his thumbnail is one of those selfies, taken by the guy of his reflection in a mirror. So the camera's over his face, but you get to see plenty of bare torso. I don't mind selfies, but this is a strange form of introduction. Think I'll pass.

Vanity is OK, I haven't enjoyed it properly in a while, it bores me a bit. But I am looking somewhat unkempt so it's time to take more care. Short red hair can be a bit Sideshow Bob/Simple Jack, but dark brown gets heavy, blonde anything is a no-no in winter, cos it makes me look like a pair of eyebrows in the snow. I have seen two pairs of earrings I fancy, one like stars and the other like dinosaurs but that would mean getting my ears pierced again. With Whitby and Munich on the cards I don't fancy the wind nipping my neck and ears, and cold metal against my skin would be horrid. Yes, this is what hats and scarves were meant for, yes I like hats. But still.
