After Cafe Cairo
Jul. 17th, 2015 09:53 amOdd place, bit hippy, bit Casablanca, bit magical...but they ran out of drinks very fast for a Thursday night, and the combination of shisha and tobacco got somewhat pungent. Still, it was fun. We finished the evening in the Landor, a pub which remains a right bit of old tat.
On my way down the hill I saw the strangest lightning storm rising in the skies to the North West; it flashed in silence, repeatedly, like some massive UFO signalling from behind a bank of clouds. In fact I have decided to live in Spielberg land this morning, and believe that's what it was. I now need to build a mashed potato mountain and find my way into the forbidden hangars concealed under the Houses of Parliament.

Date: 2015-07-19 09:38 am (UTC)The Landor just seems to be this vast wasteland of wooden tables and left over chips, but I've only been in now and again over the past couple of years, so perhaps I've missed its interesting incarnations...
