So new cleaner turns up, because old cleaner has left the agency. She seems pleasant enough, speaks very little English but is phenomenally easy to understand because she almost jumped out of her skin on seeing one of the cats on the bed, and her facial expression became one of real dismay, bordering on fear, when she learned there were 4 in the house. She instantly needed to use the toilet.

I hope this lady is not phobic. She hasn't run out of the house and is working away now hard, but the impression I get is that she is making the best of a very difficult job. It must be horrible to work in a place full of things that creep you to bits. The thing to do would be to phone the agency and point out the difficulty, while making sure that her work is praised or whatever, so that they don't just sack her. I did tell them about the cats.

But this may just create difficulties for her. Maybe I should just leave it to her to go back to the agency and tell them. If she is as horrified as she looked, she won't want to return.

While I don't want to create a situation where the lady loses money, I am not sure she's the ticket. Her being freaked out by the cats freaks me out. I'd rather have a cleaner who likes cats. This is all just a bit intense.
