So influential you were part of the furniture, you created background noise I grew up with. The first Bowie song I recall really listening to was the first version of John I'm only dancing, but there have been so many I enjoyed throughout the years. You made it OK to change shape, OK to preen, OK not to be arsed. But all the changes wouldn't have mattered if you were any less than an extraordinary artist, a remarkable musician.
