Not even mistakes, little tirednesses in the writing. God, it feels like I have been doing this forever.

But this morning I can't just launch in and stay working until I can't do anymore, which sounds absurd but is my modus operandi.
We have huge amounts of apples plus two bag fulls of windfall. I'm taking the latter to the local farm for the pigs, then there's stuff to be dumped at the dry cleaners, and a little bit of running around to be done before the heat makes it all absurd.

But the work must be done.

I note with interest that David Davis has announced that Brexit negotiations will not be announced or discussed with the HoC or the HoL...Exactly like the TTIP discussions that the EU was having with the States, ending in EU veto. There won't be a veto here of course, in fact we have no idea what or if there will be any checks and balances. Presumably said checks will be in the hands of a PM we didn't vote for either. Freedom! Democracy!

Without disagreeing with your main point ...

We never vote for a Prime Minister.

Even in Theresa May's constituency, they didn't vote for her as PM. Nor in Cameron's. They voted for their MP as an MP.

Indeed

Yes, we do not have a direct democracy and never have had.

This is why the same Brexiters who were up in arms about transparency, democracy, and accountability are protesting so vehemently now.

Oh wait...
